Agri-Business / Food Systems

explore food and food delivery systems along the “field to fork” continuum from local, national, and global perspectives.

Southwest Missouri is full of agriculture, from hobby farms to key components within food systems production. Strategically located among the businesses and industry, the University of Missouri Southwest Research Farm is home to the Agri-business and Food System Strand. Having a classroom at the Southwest Research Farm grants students access to cutting edge research, networking with researchers from all over the world, and hands-on experiences on a working research farm.

Students participating in the Agri-business and Food Systems strand receive first-hand experience by working on real-life projects while studying current issues in the agriculture industry. Students learn critical thinking skills, network with professionals, and are propelled successfully into becoming a leader.
